A message from our 2012-13 church school teachers and staff

“Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from Him.” (Psalm 127:3)

Dear Church School Parents and Families,

Welcome back to a new Church School year!

With the pastoral blessing of Father Don, the staff of Saint Elia Church School has been busy planning another important year in the spiritual life of our parish children.  Our Church School year begins on Sunday, September 16.  This upcoming school year our theme is “Jesus the Good Shepherd.”  All of our Church School Program classes meet on Sundays following Holy Communion. The children are to remain with their family until Father has taken the Holy Chalice back into the Altar and over to the Table of Preparation.

Our Orthodox faith teaches us that every family is a “little Church.”  A family who prays, fasts, and attends Divine Liturgical Services will grow in strength, peace and love as a family unit. Our Church School curriculum teaches children to understand, experience, and express their faith in Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I sincerely ask our families to become committed to having your children consistently attend Church School Program.

Our St. Elia Church School staff is dedicated to giving their time and talents into creating a wonderful Orthodox Educational Program for your children.  We are ready to begin a new 2012-2013 Church School year with our parish children/teens!

Happy 2012-13 Church School Year!

Popadia Donna, Veronica Bilas, Dr. Bill DiPuccio, Georgia Kote, and Ana Bohush

P.S. If you are the parent or guardian of a child who will be attending church school this year, please download the Church School Registration Form and bring the completed form with you to church by Sept. 23. We look forward to serving you this year!
