First Confessions, April 27 @ 6PM

Dear Church School Families,

We will have two little girls making their First Confession on Saturday, April 27th @ 6 PM following the Great Vespers of Palm Sunday. Mrs. Georgia Kote has been preparing the children with a special designed curriculum called Making Things Right.  The curriculum is to give children an understanding and/or sense of making right and wrong choices in their lives.  The curriculum is a beginning of understanding sin and how it impacts their spiritual development for the remainder of their life. Of course most importantly the emphasis on God’s loving forgiveness in their lives!  Lastly preparation and regular participation in going to the Sacrament of Confession and Holy Communion is a life journey of growing in love of the Lord Jesus Christ and His Church. The parish community of St. Elia will help share in the parental responsibility of raising our children in truth and understanding of their Faith. Mrs. Kote still has important preparation lessons to continue with the children before April 27th. Father Don will meet with you and your children following Divine Liturgy on April 21st to answer any questions and walk the children through making their Confession.

ALL OF OUR CHURCH CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES MAY PARTICIPATE IN THE FIRST CONFESSION SATURDAY BY COMING TO CONFESSION IN PREPARATION FOR HOLY PASCHA.  It is very important for ALL our Church School children to be present in classes following Divine Liturgy on Sundays. Our Church School Program will be ending on Sunday, May 12th and the teachers have important lessons to complete.  Any further questions and or concerns regarding your family and/or children participation in the Sacrament of Confession please call Father Don at 330 724-7009.

Love in the Lord Jesus Christ,
