SUMMER SCHEDULE

Beginning today, Sunday, June 3, and continuing through Sunday, August 26, Divine Liturgy will begin at 9:30 a.m.

CHURCH SCHOOL – 2011-2012

Church School classes are held on Sunday mornings. Following the Divine Liturgy the adults of our community remain in Church during the Church School time for a special session of Q & A – Questions and Answers. Please remember that our children’s time in Church School is very precious.  During the Children’s class time, please do not be in the Church Hall visiting and conversing.  This is distracting for the teachers and children.

Our Church School will conclude for the school year with a Congratulations – Certificate Appreciation Sunday on Sunday June 10th. May God grant you all many more years in Christian Education!

PASCHA SWEET BREADS FOR SALE

Pascha Breads, both plain and with raisins, are available and for sale: Plain – $7.00 and Raisin – $8.00.  Please see Rose Marie Vronick or Mary Magensky or contact Father Don.  Your Paschas can be picked up on any Sunday morning or Saturday evening or any time you are at the Church.

PARISH NAME DAY – FEAST OF SAINT ELIA

Our Parish Name Day falls on Friday, July 20th. As usual, on the following Sunday, July 22nd we will celebrate the Divine Liturgy, followed by a Cross Procession with the singing of a Molieben (Prayer Service) to St. Elia, and the blessing of vehicles (cars, motorcycles, bicycles, skateboards, etc…).

SUMMER HOME BIBLE STUDY

A Bible Study will be held on Sunday evenings this summer at the home of Bill and Bab DiPuccio. This year’s theme, “Connections”, is an overview of the Bible which explores the prophetic and literary connections between the Old and New Testaments, and Orthodox Liturgical Worship. The study will begin on Sunday ,June 10, at 6:30 pm, followed by dessert. Please RSVP if you are interested in coming: 330-633-5042. A copy of the study is available by email for those who are unable to attend.

PARISH MEMBERSHIP

A new Membership Form has been put into place by the Parish Council and available with the Weekly Bulletin.  Membership numbers established by completed forms shall be used to establish voting eligibility and meeting quorums that are set by the Parish Bylaws that have been accepted at the Annual Meeting, January 29, 2012, and will be in effect after approval by the Diocesan Authority.   Please fill out the form on both sides and give it to Father Don or a member of the Parish Council.

DELEGATE TO THE DIOCESAN CONFERENCE

A General Parish Meeting will be held on Sunday,  June 10th, to elect a delegate to the Diocesan Conference to be held in Toledo, Ohio on August 18, 2012.
