The Second Week of Great Lent

This is especially for our extended St. Elia family and friends living outside of the area who are not able to order and pick up at church. Dear St. Elia Parish Family,
It’s a new 2019-2020 Parish Education School year!
With the pastoral blessing of Father Don, the St. Elia Church School Program will begin Sunday, Nov. 3. We may be starting later, but we are still keeping with the same amount of 25 classes. If there are to be any changes to this 2019-20 Church School calendar, you will be notified.
Our Church School Program will meet on Sunday following Holy Communion. I am asking for your cooperation to please have your child(ren) remain in their pew until Father Don has taken the Holy Chalice back into Altar and over to the Table of Preparation.
I have enclosed a 2019-20 Church School calendar to be posted in your home and also available on our Parish website.

Our Orthodox faith teaches us that every family is a “little Church.” A family who prays, fasts, and attends Divine Liturgical Services will grow in strength, peace and love as a family unit. Our Church School began for the 2018-2019 school year on Sunday,
September 23. Church School is held on Sunday mornings in the Church Hall following Holy Communion and taught by Reader Aaron Gray and Sarah Niglio.
While the children are in Church School, a Q & A session (Questions & Answers) will be held in the Church for adults following the Divine Liturgy. Please remember that our children’s time in Church School is very precious. Due to our shared facilities, please do not go into the Church Hall during class time. Conversations outside of the classroom area can negatively impact Church School effectiveness!
