St. Elia the Prophet Orthodox Church, located in the Firestone Park area of Akron, Ohio, is the spiritual home of a warm, loving parish family from many different backgrounds and walks of life, seeking to live an Orthodox way of life in Christ’s Holy Church.
The full cycle of liturgical worship in the English language, religious education programs for children and adults, and fun family activities all contribute to a rich and vibrant parish life.
Our parish warmly welcomes all who seek the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Love of God the Father, and the Communion of the Holy Spirit (2 Cor. 13:14) in the ancient and historic Holy Orthodox Church.
Weekly worship services include Great Vespers on Saturdays at 5 p.m. and Divine Liturgy on Sundays at 10 a.m. (9:30 a.m. during summer months).
